Irish renewable energy solutions company Greenvolt Next has announced the creation of 50 new jobs at its Waterford headquarters over the next 12 months, according to Greenvolt Next, as part of a broader expansion that will also add 40 roles within its UK arm.
The Waterford-based positions will span project engineers, senior project engineers, project managers and site managers, ranging from mid-level to senior appointments. The new roles form part of a wider investment that includes the expansion of the company's existing Waterford headquarters by 2,176 square feet, equipped with the latest technologies.
Part of the international Greenvolt Group, Greenvolt Next specialises in renewable energy solutions for the commercial and industrial sector. The company has delivered some of Ireland's largest renewable energy projects, including the Sanofi Waterford solar farm, and works with retailers including Lidl, Aldi and Tesco.
CEO Owen Power said: "Our success to date has been driven by our ability to deliver the most reliable and cost-effective energy solutions to customers, underpinned by unmatched resources and expertise. Looking to the future, which will only see greater demand for such projects, we want to continue making a tangible impact for businesses and the environment. That means investing in operations, growing the team and innovating for customers."
Greenvolt Next expects significant revenue growth over the next three years, driven by accelerating market demand, rising interest in sustainable energy solutions and corporate sustainability reporting requirements under CSRD. The company anticipates particularly strong demand for solar panel installations and battery storage projects over the next 12 months.
In 2025, Greenvolt Next reduced customer CO2 emissions by 30,000 tonnes. A further 150,000 tonnes of CO2 is projected to be avoided over the next three years as the company scales its project delivery across Ireland and the UK.
The expanded team is expected to support the delivery of more large-scale renewable energy projects, helping developers and landowners advance renewable assets while meeting growing demand for green energy solutions across both markets.
