Ireland's engineering sector is invited to enter the Engineering Excellence Awards 2026, with submissions open and the deadline set for 3 July.

The Engineering Excellence Awards recognise outstanding achievement across Ireland's engineering community, celebrating the individuals, teams and companies driving innovation across construction, design, industrial and manufacturing sectors. Entries opened on 28 April, with organisations now encouraged to submit ahead of the July closing date.

Finalists will be announced on 21 August, before the awards gala takes place on 21 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry. The ceremony gathers hundreds of senior executives from across the Irish engineering community, offering what organisers describe as a unique opportunity to connect with the sector's most influential figures and top talent.

Participation is free, with submissions assessed by an independent judging panel drawn from diverse areas of engineering expertise. Shortlisted entries receive national exposure through communications partner The Irish Times online, while winners take home a prestigious accolade alongside extensive media coverage.

The 2026 programme spans 26 categories covering the full breadth of the sector, from Engineering Project of the Year and Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Biomedical Engineering categories to Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Smart Infrastructure and Social Impact awards. People-focused categories include Rising Star in Engineering, Women in Engineering, Best People Development, Graduate Training Programme of the Year and Apprenticeship Programme Award, among others.

Companies and individuals ready to enter can submit at businessriver.engineeringawards.ie. Visit the official Engineering Excellence Awards website to explore last year's shortlist, review category details, and subscribe to the newsletter for insights and event updates.
