Arcadis has confirmed the appointment of Peter Hogg as country director for the UK and Ireland as reported by Construction Wave, strengthening leadership across its engineering and infrastructure operations.
Hogg, a 28-year veteran of the business, succeeds Simon Bimpson, who continues as president of advanced manufacturing.
Throughout his career, Hogg has been instrumental in delivering landmark infrastructure projects in London, including the Jubilee Line Extension, St Pancras International Station, and Heathrow Terminal 5. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will maintain his role as London City executive, overseeing market strategy, client engagement, and business development activities for the past nine years.
Hogg, also a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, serves as a non-executive board member for the Confederation of British Industry and recently completed a term with the Thames Estuary Growth Board. He commented: “I am honoured and delighted to have been given the opportunity to serve the business – and all Arcadians – as our UK & Ireland country director. I am grateful for the leadership of Simon Bimpson over the last four years, and excited for the opportunity to lead this team.”
The appointment follows Arcadis’ December announcement of Heather Polinsky, a 26-year veteran, as global CEO for resilience and mobility. Polinsky will officially succeed Alan Brookes in March, emphasizing growth, performance, and strategic positioning for the firm’s next phase. She said: “My priority is to drive growth, strengthen performance, and accelerate the actions needed to position Arcadis for its next phase of success.”
Peter Hogg’s appointment underscores Arcadis’ commitment to maintaining leadership in engineering excellence while executing large-scale, complex infrastructure programmes.
