Global engineering and technology consultancy Virtusa has strategically acquired Valentia Partners, a UK-based advisory firm specialising in regulatory and technological transformation for banks and fintechs. The acquisition combines Virtusa’s digital engineering, AI advisory, and data analytics expertise with Valentia’s authority in financial regulation and emerging digital assets.
Founded before the 2008 financial crisis, Valentia Partners has guided financial institutions through complex regulatory and technological transitions, with a focus on digital assets, decentralised finance (DeFi), and AI-driven financial platforms. Its consultants deliver high-impact, mission-critical projects designed to optimise compliance and operational efficiency.
“Valentia Partners brings unparalleled domain expertise and a strong track record of successful, mission-critical transformations,” said Atul Gupta, Head of UK & Ireland at Virtusa. “Their reputation as regulatory thought-leaders in the digital assets field is invaluable, allowing us to offer our clients the strategic depth needed to innovate confidently in a rapidly evolving market.”
The deal positions Virtusa to provide advanced advisory and engineering solutions for a client base that includes banks, asset managers, and fintech companies. It strengthens the firm’s ability to integrate technical engineering solutions with regulatory compliance, particularly in AI, DeFi, and emerging digital finance technologies.
Eoghan Hannigan, Co-founder of Valentia Partners, added, “We have always been focused on leading the dialogue around the future of finance, especially where regulatory requirements meet digital innovation.” John McEvoy, co-founder, added, “We can now bring our specialised knowledge and consulting services to a much broader client base, ensuring our thought leadership continues to actively shape the market’s adoption of digital assets and transformative technologies.”
