Northern Ireland engineering firm Versaffix has appointed Dutch equipment specialist Hyreco as its first authorised dealership partner in mainland Europe, according to the Irish News, marking a significant step in the Lislea-based manufacturer's international expansion strategy.

Founded by Gerard Doherty, Versaffix designs and manufactures tiltrotator systems bucket attachments for excavators that can rotate 360 degrees and tilt simultaneously, improving precision, reducing machine repositioning and boosting operator productivity. The company's clients are primarily drawn from the construction, civil engineering and earthmoving sectors.

The appointment of Hyreco gives contractors and plant operators in the Dutch market access to Versaffix's tiltrotator technology alongside local sales, technical support and after-sales service. The partnership represents the company's first official dealership arrangement outside Ireland and the UK.

Doherty said the Netherlands was chosen as the launch market for its strong reputation for construction innovation and high adoption of excavation technology, and that Hyreco's technical expertise and customer-focused approach made it a strong fit for supporting the brand's European growth.

Hyreco owner Auke de Vries said his company was pleased to introduce Versaffix's solutions to Dutch customers, highlighting the alignment between Versaffix's focus on quality and operator efficiency and the needs of the local market.

The Hyreco appointment forms part of Versaffix's broader strategy to build a robust European dealer network with strong local support in each market. The company announced an investment of £701,000 (approximately €829,000) in its business and the creation of eight new jobs last August, reflecting the pace of its recent growth.

The Netherlands partnership positions Versaffix to access one of Europe's most active construction equipment markets, where demand for precision excavation attachments and advanced machine control technology has been growing among civil engineering and earthmoving contractors. The dealership structure, with Hyreco providing localised technical and after-sales support, is designed to ensure the company can sustain service standards as its European customer base expands.
