Northern Ireland’s space sector gains momentum with fresh UK funding

Northern Ireland’s growing space economy has received a fresh injection of UK Government funding, further accelerating development of its newly established regional cluster. A new report reveals 62 space-related organisations now operate across the region — a sharp rise reflecting a wave of commercial and research activity.

The funding supports NI Space’s mission to position the region as a hub for satellite technology, data services, and aerospace innovation. Backed by Invest NI and driven by collaboration across academia and industry, the cluster is aligning itself with national and global space priorities.
