Blue Bird Corporation, a United States leader in electric and low-emission school buses, has announced the appointment of Lyndon Lie as senior vice president of engineering, overseeing all engineering functions across Blue Bird's platforms to support the company's long-term growth strategy, according to Morningstar.
Lie, a seasoned global engineering executive with strong background in multi-platform product development across automotive and commercial vehicle industries, will be responsible for leading product development, platform engineering, innovation and execution. He will also manage integration of engineering activities related to the Micro Bird acquisition.
The strategic appointment aims to enhance Blue Bird's product portfolio and expand its engineering capabilities to deliver innovative solutions to customers worldwide.

With over 30 years of experience, Lie previously held senior engineering and technology leadership roles at Volkswagen Group of America, Nikola Corporation, General Motors and TPI Composites. Throughout his career, responsibilities have encompassed vehicle systems, electrification, advanced driver-assistance technologies and global product launches.
